Personal first aid kit
This kit should include anything which the scout can administer themselves (provided the parent is happy), e.g. headache tablets, hay fever tablets etc. If the scout uses hypoallergenic plasters etc. then these should be included (and a note made on the permission slip).
If there is medication which you would like the leaders to hold and to ensure it is taken at appropriate times, then please send only enough for the duration of the camp, and ensure it is given to a leader along with clear written instructions.
There is a tuck shop at Crawfordsburn - we have no guarantee that this will be open, but it usually is for such large camps. Boys can bring money with them but we stress that this money is their own responsibility, and would recommend a maximum of £10.
Mobile phones and other small electrical devices may be brought but remain the responsibility of the Cub/Scout. No matches, lighters of knives are allowed at camp!
BOYS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO BRING MATCHES, LIGHTERS, FLINT STRIKERS OR KNIVES TO THIS CAMP. SCOUTS SHOULD NOT BRING THEIR SURVIVAL TINS.
We would ask parents to check the kit and ensure that nothing sharp, flammable or dangerous is packed. Back to top
Permission slips and money
Everyone has already paid so only personal spending money needs to be brought to the camp.Everyone has received a health form - there are only a small number which have not been returned... if outstanding forms are not brought on Friday the scout/cub will not be allowed to camp Back to top
